A sequel to the original, abandoning Catalyst is what I’d prefer. The setting of the original was interesting because of how close it felt, and honestly the idea of an authoritative ruling class that’s mostly liked and accepted was an interesting twist, keeping things glossy and seemingly happy. ![]() I definitely agree on having it be more gadgety and high-tech was too played out. That, and skill points felt really “game-y” after the first one did everything it could to remove that feeling, kinda like the hud-lessness in Dead Space adds to the atmosphere and makes it more atmospheric. Frankly, open world is the flavor of the decade, but it weakens some games and Mirror’s Edge was one of them.
